The accused Biljana Petrović (1971) is charged with voting instead of other persons and under other persons’ names, during the 2018 General Elections, while she was in her capacity of a Chairperson of the Polling Station Committee.

Prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption has issued an Indictment against the following person:

“Biljana Petrović, born in 1971 in Brčko, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The accused is charged with voting instead of other persons and under other persons’ names, on 07 October 2018, during the General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, when she was a Chairperson of the Polling Station Committee at the Popovo Polje Polling Station in the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Indictment alleges that the accused, against the will and without the knowledge of at least six (6) persons who did not exercise their right to vote during the said elections, forged their signatures in the Poll List under the ordinal numbers where the said persons were registered and signed their names and voted instead of them.

The accused is charged with voting instead of other persons and under other persons’ names, during the elections for the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whereby she committed the criminal offense of Voting Fraud, referred to in Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
