Streets of Sarajevo full of Residents and Tourists

Judging by the streets, residents of Sarajevo and guests of the city woke up after last year’s New Year’s Eve.

Thus, unlike in the morning, when the streets were empty, the city was lively in the afternoon.

Many went out to have their first coffee or other drinks with friends this year.

 

 

 

Work was also taking place at the booths in Ferhadija Street. where sellers were ready to serve potential buyers with a wide variety of products – from toys, glittering ornaments, hats, scarves to banned pyrotechnics, Avaz news portal reports.

More than 60,000 residents and tourists attended the public celebration of the New Year in Sarajevo, attended by regional star Zeljko Joksimovic, Canton Sarajevo Ministry of Interior spokesman Mirza Hadzhiabdic confirmed for Klix.ba news portal. Joksimovic prepared a two-hour outdoor party in front of the Sarajevo City Center at Marijin Dvor.

A large number of police officers were present during the celebration and no incidents were reported.

During the public celebration in 2018, when legendary singer Zdravko Colic sang, more than 80,000 citizens and tourists attended the event.

100,000 people attended the New Year’s Eve spectacle on the eve of 2017 hosted by Dino Merlin in Sarajevo.
