In the premises of the Commemorative Center in Tuzla, the remains of another victim of the genocide committed in Srebrenica in the summer of 1995 were officially identified today, the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.

Ekber (Šaćira) Riđić, born in 1972 in Abdulići near Bratunac, has been identified. He was 23 years old when he disappeared in Kamenica, Zvornik, in 1995.

His remains were exhumed from a mass grave that was discovered in Kamenica in the fall of 2008.

The identity of this victim was first determined by the DNA method, so that identity would be confirmed today by members of his family.

After the identification, the family gave consent for the burial of this victim on July 11 at the collective funeral in the Srebrenica Memorial Center – Potočari.
