At today’s session, the delegate of the Bosniak People’s Club in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Becirović asked the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Zoran Tegeltija, why the authorities Republika Srpska entity have not yet removed the illegally built church from the land of Fata Orlovic in Konjevic Polje.

He pointed out that the European Court of Human Rights also determined that the European Convention on Human Rights and Freedoms was violated in that case, but that this injustice continues.

”These are violations of basic human rights, the BiH Constitution, Annex 7 of the Dayton Agreement, the decision of the Commission for Property Claims of Displaced Persons and Refugees, the decision of the relevant state ministry, the European Convention on Human Rights and Freedoms and the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights,” said Becirovic.

Tegeltija replied that all movable property had been removed from that church, and that the process of removing the church itself had been stopped due to a coronavirus pandemic and would be resumed in the spring of this year.

”We expect that the complete process of execution of the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights will be completed in the spring of this year,” said Tegeltija.

Becirovic replied that it was high time to start respecting the Constitution of BiH and the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights because that is in everyone’s interest.
