Govt-2.0-key-visThe Regional Foundation for new communication Dokukina organizes an open conversation “Government 2.0 Up” on Friday, 7 March, at the music hall of Banja Luka park Petar Kočić at 17.00.

This conversation will be held as a part of the project “Government 2.0 B&H”, which is supported by the USA Embassy in B&H, and the topic of conversation will be “How to facilitate communication between the government and citizens and how social networks can and should make communication to be more direct, faster and open?”.

The meeting will be organized as a TweetUp, titled “Government 2.0 Up” and this will also be an ideal opportunity for all those interested to get information on the conference “Government 2.0 B&H”, which will be held in Sarajevo on 28 and 29 March. The conference will connect representatives of government institution, PR experts, representatives of civil society and all interested citizens.

“The aim of the project “Government 2.0 B&H” is to establish a transparent and timely information between several different governmental institutions and B&H citizens, by using social networks as a tool for social changes and creating an online dialogue, and the creation of new ideas and their leaders”, said Vildana Drljević, the Executive Director of Foundation Dokukino.

Special attention will be focused on events in B&H and Ukraine, which are only a starting point for reflection, in regard to mechanisms that the governments of the region should create in order to hear the wishes of citizens, and to create a real participatory democracy.
