Trebinje i SrbijaThere will be an official opening today in Trebinje of a joint center for police cooperation between B&H, Serbia and Montenegro, the first of its kind in the region of the Western Balkans.

The joint center would contribute to improving regional police cooperation in the fight against illegal migration and human trafficking and similar cross-border crimes.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported that the joint center was established as part of the project ‘Capacity building of police officials to implement activities in Center for Police Cooperation’, which is financially supported by the government of Great Britain and the IOM Development Fund.

The ceremony will take place on the premises of the Unit Border Police B&H, starting at 14:00.
