It was pointed out in the report, on which the Council of Ministers was informed yesterday, that the agriculture in 2014 is characterized by negative trends in establishing the production, i.e. planted areas decreased by 16.000 hectares or 3%, and uncultivated arable land increased by around 1.000 hectares or 6.3% compared to 2013.

When it comes to the production of primary agricultural products, unfavorable weather conditions affected negatively the realization of the plane of sowing and expected yields.
Council of Minister of B&H adopted the report of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations on the international help in the sector of agriculture, food and rural development in 2014 in B&H, in which it has been stated that the main donors in this sector in B&H are the EU, Japan, Holland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Germany, USA, Switzerland and UN.

It has been emphasized that many EU member countries provide a targeted help in individual sectors and that international financial institutions, such as the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Bank, give credits for the development of agriculture.
