The film “Oppenheimer”, directed by Christopher Nolan, won the Golden Globe Award for Best Picture, and Nolan himself received the award for Best Director.
Among the films nominated in the same film-drama category were “Zone of Interest” by Jonathan Glazer, “Past Lives” by Celine Song, “Anatomy of the Fall” by Justine Trier, “Maestro” by Bradley Cooper and “Killers of the Flower Moon” by Martin Scorsese.
This is Nolan’s sixth Golden Globe nomination and first win.
Cillian Murphy won the Golden Globe for the main male role in the film “Oppenheimer”, while the award for the best male supporting role went to actor Robert Downey for the same performance.
The Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture went to actress Lily Gladstone for her role in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon.
This is the first time in history that the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress goes to an actress who belongs to the indigenous people of the United States of America, i.e. the Blackfeet tribe. The actress addressed the audience after receiving the award in the language of the Blackfeet people.
