Oscar winner Danis Tanović received the award for directing in the series category for “Kotlina” at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
He pointed out that he was working on the series while his son had an accident.
He said he was very happy and excited.
“It’s nice that this first season ends in this way. The filming ended in a very bad way for me, after the accident my son had. Then I left the project and returned a few months later when Orhan was better. This is wonderful that people recognized our work, thanks to our entire team,” said Tanović.
He emphasized that, when he left the project, Aida Begić joined and only serious directors know how difficult it is for someone to join afterwards and to continue in the same style.
