At a telephone session held today, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, adopted decisions on four expenditure programs with allocation criteria for capital and current transfers defined by the 2026 Budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in a total amount of 5,070, 000 BAM.

Under the adopted program for capital transfers to non-profit organizations for care institutions at the level of the Federation, an amount of 3,000,000 BAM has been allocated. The funds are intended to support the development of existing and the establishment of new forms of social services, as well as to improve living conditions for beneficiaries and working conditions for employees.

The beneficiaries include the social care and health care institutions Bakovići, Drin, and Ljubuški, as well as the institutions for social care, health care, education and care in Pazarić and Sarajevo.

An additional 2,000,000 BAM has been allocated through current transfers to support non-institutional forms of care. The funds are intended for at least 10 non-profit organizations that are part of the social and child protection system.

The aim of this program is to provide at least one social care service for implementing the Social Care and Social Support Program in Family-Based Care Models or Community-Based Living Support Models. The purpose of this program is to prevent the institutionalization of vulnerable individuals or groups (children, persons with disabilities, or the elderly) through the Social Care and Social Support Program in Family-Based Care Models or Community-Based Living Support Models.

The Government also adopted a program worth 50,000 BAM for current transfers to non-profit organizations as part of the Strategy for Improving the Rights and Status of Persons with Disabilities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2025-2030. The aim is to improve the social inclusion of marginalized groups. The funds will be allocated to associations and non-governmental organizations selected through a public call.

The Government also adopted the expenditure program for current transfers to other levels of government and funds, in the amount of 20,000 BAM, for implementation of activities envisaged by the Decree on the Application of EducationalRecommendations for Juveniles in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. These funds are intended for a professional training program in application of such recommendations for juvenile offenders, as announced by the Public Relations Office of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
