Overhaul of 166 km of railways in BiH has been completed in 2012

Deputy Minister of Traffic and Communication of FBiH Izet Mehinagić said that the most important event in the railway sector was the completion of overhaul of 166 km of railways, 100 km from the border of Croatia to Konjic, and 66 km from Kostajnica (Doboj) to Jošavka (Banjaluka)

Mehinagić said ”The value of this project was 100 million EUR, and the most significant result is the complete renovation of the railroad that was 40 years old. This will enable the the trains to travel faster, cheaper and the security and reliability of the railways will increase.”
