A United States (U.S.) court has found U.S. rapper Sean Combs, known as P Diddy, guilty of organizing transport for the purpose of prostitution. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

He was acquitted of charges of human trafficking for the purpose of prostitution and racketeering. He was charged with five counts: one count of racketeering and two counts each of human trafficking for sexual exploitation and transport organized for prostitution.

Before the verdict was read, Diddy addressed members of his family who were present.

“Stay strong,” he said, and his children nodded their heads. He also prayed and said, “God, please protect my family.” His family responded: “Amen.”

Judge Arun Subramanian thanked the jurors for their effort over the past 10 weeks.

“I want you to know that this is inspiring for all of us. You listened, worked together, and were here every day, rain or shine. You did this without any reward, except the satisfaction you received because you responded to the call of public service. That should give all of us hope,” he said.

Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo claims that he should be released immediately, because he was acquitted of the charges of racketeering and human trafficking for the purpose of prostitution, Klix.ba writes.
