P. Moon: Positions in democratic government belong to citizens

The USA strongly supports the efforts of the EU Delegation in BiH to help in making the political agreement on progress.

‘We believe that it is unfortunate that some political parties are more focused on resolving this human rights issue in a way that guarantees their candidate will be elected rather than in a way that protects the rights of all citizens to contest and win elections’, said yesterday in his blog the US Ambassador in BIH Patrick Moon.

He stated that positions in democratic government belong to citizens not to any one person, political party, or ethnic group.

‘Political parties must take as a starting place that implementing Sejdic-Finci means that the constitution will no longer specify Bosniak, Croat or Serb members of the Presidency; rather there will be three members of the Presidency elected by the citizens’, said Moon.
