Federal Minister of Transport and Communications Andrijana Katić signed agreements on the allocation of funds in Mostar today based on the implemented Public Call for Project Financing within the Program of Expenditure of Funds “Capital Transfers to Other Levels of Government and Funds”.

The agreements were signed by 83 beneficiaries from ten cantons, with projects from the Tuzla Canton receiving support of approximately 3.5 million BAM, from the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton receiving approximately 2.9 million BAM, while projects from the Central Bosnia Canton received approximately 3 million BAM.

These data clearly confirm the significant interest in the program of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its importance for the development of local communities.

A total of 21,000,000 BAM has been provided in the budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the improvement of road infrastructure, of which 8,000,000 BAM is intended for regional roads, and approximately 13,000,000 BAM for local roads.

“By this joint signing of the contract with the users of funds from the entire Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we want to send a clear message that the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications have taken into account the needs of the cantonal, city and municipal levels of government in 2026 when it comes to construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation projects of regional and local roads,” said Minister Andrijana Katic.

She pointed out that feedback from implementers can play a significant role in the further improvement of such programs, especially when it comes to the challenges and needs they face during project implementation.

“We invite all users of funds to share with us proposals, experiences and everything that they consider useful for improving future programs and more effective implementation of projects,” said the minister.

At the end, she wished the beneficiaries of the funds a successful implementation of the projects, stressing that the representatives of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications are available for any possible questions, challenges or doubts during the further implementation of the procedures, the ministry announced.
