The first generation of the Training Center of the Air Traffic Services Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina /BHANSA/, which consists of 17 participants, was presented with certificates of successful completion of basic training for air traffic controllers.

This completes the first stage of their professional training, which began in June, when the first certified training center for air traffic controllers in Bosnia and Herzegovina was opened in Mostar, the Agency announced today.

During the training, the participants acquired the knowledge and competences necessary to continue their education and obtain a controller’s license.

Director of BHANSA Davorin Primorac pointed out that the training is conducted with their own instructors, modern equipment and in accordance with European standards.

The training center enables the Agency to continuously train the necessary professional staff and reduce dependence on the training of controllers abroad.

It is a highly specialized profession for which there is a great demand on the international labor market.

Controllers are responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of air traffic, and their training is a long-term and strictly regulated process that requires a high level of professional knowledge, responsibility and continuous training.
