The Minister of Education of Pakistan Baig ur Rehman expresses delight with the idea of constructing a school with the name of the first president of the presidency of the independent BiH, Alija Izetbegović, in Pakistan.
The Minister said that at the meeting with the Ambassador of BiH to Pakistan Nedim Makarević, stating that he will certainly attend the official opening of the school and that he hopes that BiH will direct more projects such as this one and similar others. Furthermore, the Minister also pointed out that Pakistan is ready to join similar projects and that, with joined forces, they can help eliminate illiteracy, i.e. the lack of education as one of the burning issues in Pakistan.
Apart from representatives of the Ministry of Education of Pakistan, the meeting was also attended by officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
Ambassador Makarević was talking about the conceptual design, the need for one such institution in this area, the motives, and he gave a report on all previously executed works regarding the construction and what is left to be done until the completion of the project. Moreover, Ambassador Makarević elaborated on the significance of future curriculum in the school, which is to be on international level (Oxford curriculum).
