Pannonian Lakes breaking Records: New Benefits introduced

pannonianSince the beginning of the season until the beginning of the month of August, the complex of Pannonian lakes in Tuzla was visited by almost 200,000 visitors.

According to the Director of PE Pannonica Tuzla, Maid Porobic, from the beginning of the season was sold a total of 173,731 tickets in all categories, and if we take into account seasonal and monthly tickets as well, around 200,000 people visited “salt lakes”.

He said that this represents only 50 % of the work plans of PE Panonnica because the visit is slightly smaller than planned, and as he said, a factor that contributed to this is unstable summer with only 20 sunny days with temperatures above 30 °C.

“We hope to meet the predicted plan in August if the weather is good, although the forecasts state that the weather in August will be changeable as well,” said Porobic.

He believes that the main part of the season is in the upcoming days, because the number of visitors from abroad is mainly increased until the 15th of August, and citizens of Tuzla are returning from holidays in other destinations during this period.

Record in ticket sales was reached on Sunday, the 31st of July this year, when the Pannonian lakes were visited by 16,000 visitors.

Lakes are visited by guests who have rented accommodation in Tuzla, and the most frequent guests are from neighboring countries, from Croatia (Osijek and Slavonski Brod), from Serbia (Valjevo) and other neighboring towns.

According to Porobic, 50 % of the visitors are not from Tuzla Canton.

Special benefits for visitors were introduced in order to facilitate their stay on the lakes, so that the ticket from 4.00 pm costs 2 BAM, for pensioners 1 BAM, and for children up to 7 years admission is free.

Season on the “tourist jewel” of Tuzla Canton will last until the 15th or 20th of September, depending on weather conditions.
