12674322_1741494582753885_166082069_nIn the last statement, the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) emphasized that they are expecting from the institutions of Republika Srpska to take into consideration of the affair of spending national money “based on serious allegations and the facts that made a huge damage to the interest of Republika Srpska”.

Also, the PDP is requesting from government to investigate the responsibility of individuals who produced such harmful effect as a result of “unconstitutional, illegal, corruptive, irrational, irresponsible and nepotistic behavior”.

“The total debt of Republika Srpska at the end of 2015 amounted to 5.351 billion BAM and crossed the legal limit of 60% of GDP, which is defined under the criteria established by the Government, which was introduced through amendments to the Law on borrowing, debt and guarantees in which is stated that the total debt must not exceed 60 % of GDP, ” as said in the statement of PDP.

PDP emphasized that it is absurd that the Government of Republika Srpska and its President constantly repeat that citizens return more debt than they borrow, while the debt of Republika Srpska is constantly growing.

“At the end of 2008, the debt amounted to around 3 billion BAM, and at the end of 2015 it amounted to 5.351 billion BAM. This means that between 2008 and today, the debt has grown by 2,350 billion BAM. The most concerning fact is that the annual ‘ loan installment’ for debt repayment increased from 119 million BAM (7.8% of initial income) in 2008 to over 600 million BAM (37.40% of original initial) and that the initial income is stagnating at 1.6 billion BAM for many years as a result of the lack of economic activity, weakening of purchasing power and a general fall in the standard of living. The consequence of such a catastrophic structure of borrowing and servicing debt repayment is lack of funds for other needs of the budget and the general lack of liquidity and long-term slavery that can be also called bankruptcy,” as said in the statement.

From PDP concluded that it is hypocritical that the government and the President of Republika Srpska are convincing citizens and economic parameters that RS is the best part of Europe as a result of either “complete autism or rudeness or some other disorder.”
