Sanjin Pehlivanovic, the best BH player of billiards, won three medals in the junior category at the recently completed European Championship in Veldhoven (Netherlands).
Pehlivanovic became European Champion in discipline 9, and won bronze medals in disciplines 10 and 14.1, as announced by the Billiards Association of BiH.
Although he is just 16 years old, Pehlivanovic had the opportunity to appear in the Junior Competition U19. He has been playing in competition of up to 17 years of age in the last three years and he won six golden medals. He was only 12 years old when he became European Champion for the first time in the year of 2014.
With this title, Pehlivanovic got the right to participate in the World Championship for Juniors (up to 19 years of age) that will be held in Russia in the month of November. Last year he became the World Champion in the competition for up to 17 years.
This performance in the Netherlands will enter the history of billiards in BiH, because this was the first time for our country to appear in a team competition. Pehlivanovic, Muratovic and Cerimagic won against Italy and Poland and they were defeated by Greece in the match for qualifiers to the World Cup in the eighth finals.
