Members of the band “Muzicka apoteka” and the hosts of a wedding in Germany delighted many with a humanitarian initiative to raise funds for people affected by recent floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
On the band’s TikTok profile, they shared how this thoughtful gesture took place at a wedding in Oberhausen, Germany. They explained that they came up with the idea to assist those who lost their homes in the tragedy that struck BiH last week.
“Given the terrible tragedy that occurred, affecting places in BiH, with many people, unfortunately, losing their lives, a roof over their heads, and properties, we came up with the idea – together with the hosts of the Avdovic wedding – to organize a charity initiative,” they explained in the video.
They revealed that 2.415 euros was collected, which will be sent to the Essen Jamaat (Islamic community), who will then distribute the money to families impacted by the disaster.
The band expressed special gratitude to the hosts for their understanding and to the guests for participating in the charity drive.
In a follow-up video, they showed the collected funds being handed over to the imam of the islamic community, ensuring the money would reach the affected families, Klix.ba.
