mars2Amra Osmančević, who lives and works in the Swedish city Gothenburg, is one of the participants in the Peace March. She emphasized that the hiking is physically and mentally exhausting, but it’s the least to do for the innocent people who died in such a large number.

“This is a physical and psychological effort, but it is a human obligation. This is the least we can do for all the innocent people who died in such a large number. This way we can show to the world and our B&H that the victims worth so much more. This is the minimum thing I could do to pay tribute and express my condolences to the families of the victims, “said Osmančević.

Amra Osmančević was born in Bratunac, and she worked as a doctor in Srebrenica for a certain period of time. Today, she lives in Gothenburg where she is working at the university. On behalf of all participants of the Peace March, she thanked all members of the international community who dedicated their time, day and emotions to come and pay tribute to the victims of Srebrenica genocide.

“I can only thank them and hope that their participation will serve as a stimulus for this nation to recover again. The stimulus for this country to be brought back to life and to strip this straitjacket, which was put by the international community,” said Osmančević.

She thanked all members of the international community once again, and invited them to make all the efforts to change the situation in this country, which is beautiful, but sorrow.
