13625216_1795116047391738_4747881_nOn the occasion of honoring the victims of Srebrenica genocide, today on Alija Izetbegovic Square in Zenica was organized a peaceful walk to mark the 21st anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.

With the numbers 8372 on the arms and Srebrenica flowers on lapels, without voice and only with a silence that was tangible in the air, started today’s event in Zenica.

Before the walk, at the memorial Kameni spavac, the performance of torture experienced by the victims of Srebrenica took place, where they showed taking men away from their family members and their murders. With sobs and tears on their faces, citizens of Zenica watched the performance in which participated the youngest and oldest citizens of Zenica.

While the elderly were trying to resist to “members of the Serbian army”, the scream “Mother” echoed on the Square of Alija Izetbegovic in Zenica, when a young boy was taken away from his mother’s arms.

All scenes from Srebrenica, in a much milder form, was hard and painful to even watch today in the city of Zenica for all those present who waited for the end of the performance in tears.

A quiet walk through Zenica boulevard followed after the performance, and then on the Square of Alija Izetbegovic was recited Fatiha and paid tribute to all victims of genocide.
