Thanks to the funds collected at the donation conference in Sarajevo, the construction of the housing units for displaced persons and returnee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region will begin soon. It is expected in four to five years to have 27.000 already built housing units, which could secure the housing for at least 73.000 people
It is estimated that there are 50.000 displaced persons or returnees without housing. Due to his, the Minister for Human Rights and Refugees, Damir Ljubić says that the B&H authorities will help all people that are currently on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina to find their own homes.
During the donation conference, which was organized in Sarajevo, in April 2012, 260 million euros were collected for the permanent care of refugees and displaces persons.
