The photo exhibition “I Dreamed of Sarajevo Again” by Esad Eso Lukac was opened yesterday, April 5th, at the Center for Culture and Youth.

The exhibition features 18 photographs printed on photographic canvas, sized 60×90 and 70x105cm. They depict sacred religious sites of Islamic, Catholic, Orthodox, and Jewish faiths, as well as the building that houses the Academy of Fine Arts, part of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA), which was constructed in the early 20th century and initially used as an evangelical church.

Esad Eso Lukac is the editor of the monograph “Greetings from Sarajevo,” first and second editions in Bosnian and English. He is also the editor of the two-volume monograph “Greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)” in Bosnian and English, and the photo monograph “BiH – Through the Eyes of Love” in Bosnian and English, as well as in Bosnian and Turkish editions published by a Turkish publisher.

He is the editor of the largest photo monograph ever produced in BiH, titled “Land of Bosnia, a Book about Light.”

His works have been exhibited in the City Hall, the Cultural Center Mostar, the Pocitelj International Art Colony, in Rijeka, in the Ex Ponto Gallery in Travnik, Bihac, Sanski Most, Rozaje, Petnjica, Podgorica, Bijelo Polje, Bar, Alanya in Turkey, etc.

His photographs are featured in many books and have been used to showcase the natural beauty of BiH in the People’s Republic of China and countries in Central and Eastern Europe. They have also been presented on World Tourism Day and on the portals of the World Tourism Organization, a United Nations agency (UNWTO).

As part of the publishing project “BiH – Through the Eyes of Love,” together with his colleague and photographer Samir Sinanovic, they have had exhibitions at the Mimara Museum in Zagreb, the Grand Gallery of Marmara University in Istanbul, city galleries in Prague and Gothenburg, as well as at the City Hall in Sarajevo, the Center for Culture and Youth announced.
