The photo, which was taken in 1942, became a hit on the Internet because of one detail that confused many and sparked a debate.

Namely, the photographer Edwin Rosskam took a photo of a group of people waiting to enter the cinema.

What at first appears to be a normal photo from that time has attracted a lot of attention because of the object in the hands ofthe boy with the hat on the right side of the photo.

“How is this boy carrying an iPad in his hand? The Twilight Zone?” wrote one Reddit user and started a discussion in the comments, as well as numerous jokes.

“To me, this looks like an iPad, so you can see the Apple logo”, “It’s not the first time we see things that don’t belong in photos from the past,” supporters of conspiracy theories wrote.

“Is this proof of time travel?” others joked. “Wow, Apple was way ahead of its time,” was another comment.

There were also those who simply concluded that it was some other object, such as a book or a notebook.

Namely, iPads were released in 2010.
