On the occasion of marking the 24th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica in Sarajevo City Hall, a photograph of “Mother of Srebrenica” by the photographer Almin Zrno was made in 2001 in Potocari.

The photograph shows mother Suhra Malic, who lost her two sons who were buried in Potocari in 2011.

Even though she cannot walk, she is welcoming people at Memorials Center in Potocari and give them sweets.

This photo on July 11 will be exhibited at Istanbul’s Taksim Square in height of 12 meters, and the exhibition will be attended by the photographer Almin Zrno.
