‘It was a beautiful sunny day’ is a documentary play based on the recollections of memories of 78 citizens of Sarajevo on the same date of the 2nd May, 1992. The drama was inspired by the book called ‘2nd May- It was a beautiful sunny day’, that was published for the first time in 2008.The book is actually a collection of stories, inscriptions and photos that were inspired by just one day of the siege, that is considered as the first day of the 1395 days of the Sarajevo siege.

The roles in this play are played by Sonja Goronja, Mirela Lambić, Ana Mia Milić, Maja Salkić, Amila Terzimehić, Benjamin Bajramović, Adnan Kreso, Sead Pandur and Jasenko Pašić

The premiere of this drama was staged on the 17th May 2012, with which Sarajevo War Theatre marked its anniversary and existence.
