cvijanovicPrime Minister of Republika Srpska (RS) Zeljka Cvijanovic announced that the government’s commitment is to apply a three percent increase in pensions from October’s pension.

At a meeting with representatives of the RS Pensioners’ Association, Rado Rakuli and Ilija Stevancevic, she emphasized that the government will work what is needed to create the conditions needed for an increase of an additional two percent, which would, in two steps, increase the pensions by five percent.

Cvijanovic reminded that by the process of switching to the treasury system of pension payments from January 2016, the stability and regularity of payments was ensured.

According to the prime minister, in the last three years, the pensions increased by the total amount of 11.3%. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the RS Anton Kasipovic.
