The results of the analysis showed that pure oxygen is used in the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska.
“The sample taken at the UCC showed that the purity of oxygen is 99.90 in one location and 99.92 in another, which means much better than what is prescribed by law,” RS Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic said on a press conference in Banja Luka.
He added that according to the findings in the hospital “Dr Mladen Stojanovic” in Prijedor, the purity of oxygen is 99.96.
Therefore, as Viskovic said, the so-called oxygen affair, which was imposed, neither existed, nor does it exist.
Sampling was performed at the UCC, based on the conclusion of the Government of the Republika Srpska.
A technical person from a foreign laboratory, authorized to test quality control, took a sample from the central tank on September 28, which was then sealed and shipped to an authorized laboratory.
After the inspection, the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH banned the production and trade of medical oxygen from the company “TGT tehnogas” from Laktasi. This company supplied oxygen to the UCC RS and other hospitals in the RS.
The General Director of the UCC, Vlado Dajic, stated yesterday that the UCC has only a few more tons of oxygen that is used in the treatment of patients, and that because of that, the health workers and the relatives of the patients are very worried.
Viskovic pointed out that the Government will prepare criminal charges against all those who caused damage due to this story.
“This is a crime against human health. Entering panic is also punishable by the Law on Health Protection “, said Viskovic at the press conference in Banja Luka.
He said that the Government will use all legal solutions and criminal charges and requests for compensation of damage to the health system, citizens and the Republika Srpska will be filed against all those who introduced lies, Srna news agency reports.
