Police confiscated Four Cars, the Drivers owe more than 54,000 BAM in Fines

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs /MUP/ of Sarajevo Canton have temporarily seized four vehicles from four drivers, multiple returnees for traffic offenses who together have 54,165 BAM in unpaid fines, the cantonal Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.

This morning in the municipality of Ilidža, the police controlled a “Seat” vehicle driven by a man from Sarajevo whose initials are A.L, /29/, and the checks revealed that he was driving the vehicle before acquiring the right to drive it.

It was established that the registration on this vehicle had expired, and that A.L. in the register of fines and misdemeanor records, he has a debt based on unpaid fines in the amount of 6,646 BAM.

The police from a twenty-three-year-old man whose initials are E.H. yesterday confiscated a “Seat” car in the Sarajevo municipality of Novi Grad, because it was determined that he was driving the vehicle before acquiring the right to drive it.

It was also established that the vehicle was not registered and that it had inappropriate license plates, and that in the register of fines and misdemeanor records E.H. has a debt based on unpaid fines in the amount of 5,840 BAM.

In the Sarajevo municipality of Centar, during the control of the “Golf” vehicle driven by M.S. /45/, the police established that this driver was driving at the time of the imposed protective measure of prohibition, and that he has a debt in the register of fines and misdemeanor records for unpaid fines in the amount of 23,545 BAM.

In the municipality of Vogošća, the police controlled a “Reno” vehicle with incorrect license plates, which was driven by a man from Sarajevo whose initials are K.O. /31/.

It was established that the vehicle was not registered, and that K.O. drives without a valid driver’s license and that in the register of fines and misdemeanor records he has a debt based on unpaid fines in the amount of 18,133 BAM.

Requests will be filed against all these drivers for the initiation of misdemeanor proceedings for the committed misdemeanors, Srna writes.
