On the International Labor Day, police has intensified checks on Sarajevo picnic sites, the spokesman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo Mirza Hadziabdic confirmed for Avaz.ba news portal.

Hadziabdic added that increased number of patrols visited the excursion sites, all for the purpose of controlling compliance with all orders of the competent authorities and institutions.

“Patrols throughout the Sarajevo Canton are increasingly checking the area, and I can say that there have been no problems so far. There are few citizens in the open, probably because of the rain that was falling in some parts of the city,” Hadziabdic explained.

He pointed out that he himself visited Vrelo Bosne picknick site and found only a few citizens.

Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo recalled the prohibition of movement for those older than 65 (except on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to 1pm) and under 18 (except Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 2pm to 8pm).
