What have Our Politicians promised to Us in 2017?

January 2017: Motorway Banja Luka – Doboj

Dodik said that the RS will intensify work on the construction of the highway Doboj – Banja Luka this year, which should be completed in two years and they will hire 1,500 to 2,000 people. (Milorad Dodik, 9th of January 2015.)

March 2017: The Moratorium on Recruitment in the Public Sector

The Government of FBiH tasked federal administrations, administrative bodies, and other federal institutions and departments, the Civil Service Agency of FBiH and institutions of FBiH established by the FBiH, except federal ministries, to suspend the tender procedures for civil servants, employees, and other employees until the 31st of March 2017. (Government of FBiH, the 28th of June 2016.)

Spring 2017: Beginning of the Construction of the First Transversal

The goal of the Government of CS is to start with realization of this project early next construction season and from three sides, they will start with construction of the tunnel through Kobilja Glava towards Hotonj, to start from Vogosca to the highway and the tunnel and from the Centar Municipality in solving of property – and legal issues. (Elmedin Konakovic, the 10th of June 2016.)

June 2017: 1,500 New Workplaces in Tuzla

We need 4,000 workplaces because our goal is that the employment rate in Tuzla amounts to at least 70 %. We calculated that we need 1,500 new workplaces until next year. (Jasmin Imamovic, the 4th of June 2016.)

End of  2017: Candidacy Status in the EU

If we continue to work at this pace, and if we keep this kind of willingness to go further towards EU integration, BiH will surely receive the status of a candidate in 2017. (Denis Zvizdic, the 16th of June 2016.)

End 2017: Activation of the Action Plan for Membership in NATO

With the answers on already delivered Questionnaire, I am sure that we will get candidacy status in the EU by the end of 2017, and activate the Action Plan for membership in NATO. (Dragan Covic, the 21st of December 2016.)

End of 2017: Lower indebtedness of RS

The current state of the total debt and the public debt, in relation to GDP ratio in 2017 will amount to 59.5 % or 46.2 %, and 58.8 % or 44.8 % in 2018, while in 2019 it will amount to 56.6 % or 42.7 percent. (Zeljka Cvijanovic, the 21st of December 2016.)

End of 2017: The Rapid Economic Growth and Infrastructure Projects

Bakir Izetbegovic said that the infrastructure projects, such as the construction of motorways and express roads, hydropower plants, and similar projects, will hire at least 20 to 30,000 people in the construction sector, which will bring rapid economic growth for the country in 2017. (Bakir Izetbegovic, the 10th of September 2016.)
