From the poncho worn by Clint Eastwood in “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly“ to the helmet worn by Russell Crowe in “Gladiator“and a signed version of the red leather jacket worn by Jackson in the “Thriller” music video, hundreds of costumes and props that have left a mark in the worlds of music and film will be up for sale in London.

Propstore, a London-based auction house, has put up for sale costumes and props used in iconic scenes of world cinema, as well as hundreds of items used in music videos, stage performances, and rehearsals of renowned artists.

The auction will begin on November 14th and will last four days.

According to Propstore’s CEO Stephen Lane, there are over 1.800 items used in around 500 film and television productions available for auction.

He noted that the most striking item up for sale is a Stormtrooper helmet used in Star Wars.

Lane emphasized that this helmet belongs to one of the six Sandtroopers used in the 1977 film “Star Wars: A New Hope“.

He mentioned that the estimated sale price is between 250.000 and 500.000 pounds.

Lane also confirmed that the Sandtrooper helmet, which has been widely counterfeited, is indeed an original.

The auction will also feature items from cult films of more recent history. Among them is the “Goblin” costume worn by William Dafoe in the 2002 film “Spider-Man“.

In addition to the Dafoe-signed costume, the auction will also sell a mask from the film “Scream“ and one of the Chucky dolls made for the “Child’s Play“ horror film series.

Another well-known costume at auction is the gray suit worn by James Bond while riding a motorcycle on the rooftop of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul.

Its estimated sale price is between 20.000 and 40.000 pounds.

Scenes from “Gladiator“, where Roman commander Maximus (Russell Crowe), now a slave forced to fight in the arenas, reluctantly removes his helmet and reveals himself to Emperor Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix), are some of the most famous scenes from this cult film.

The helmet used in this scene from Ridley Scott’s 2000 film will also be up for auction at Propstore, with an estimated sale price of 100.000 to 200.000 pounds.

Another costume awaiting its buyer at the auction is the poncho worn by Clint Eastwood, whose existence was not even known, in the 1966 film “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly“.

“It wasn’t even known that this poncho existed. It was thought to be lost and unreachable. It was found among rented clothing in a costume shop in Rome. This is the poncho associated with Clint Eastwood’s character. As you know, it’s an iconic piece of clothing in Western films. It will be auctioned with an estimated sale price of 60.000 to 120.000 pounds. Eastwood’s shirt will also be included. This work by Sergio Leone is one of the best Western films of all time. It was found in a shop that produced costumes for that film. We visited the shop in Rome earlier this year and reviewed their film catalogs,” Lane explained.

Propstore also sells items and costumes from well-known films in recent history. This includes wands used in the Harry Potter film series, an unedited version of the Prisoner of Azkaban book, and the Marauder’s Map used in three films.

According to Lane, the map, one of the most important pieces of set decoration, is expected to sell for between 20.000 and 40.000pounds.

Propstore’s music department manager Mark Hochman explained that the sale will also include props and clothing items from music stars.

Among the items up for sale are some that belonged to “The King of Pop,” Michael Jackson. One of the most notable is the iconic red leather jacket, prepared for the famous “Thriller” music video but worn during rehearsals.

The jacket, originally sold as a donation for Africa, is signed by Jackson and also bears the signatures of designer Deborah Nadoolman and director John Landis.

Another jacket belonging to the King of Pop is a military-style jacket decorated with 18-carat gold threads. Jackson wore this jacket on his Middle East tour.

Jackson’s handwritten “Beat It“ lyrics are estimated at 40.000 to 80.000 pounds, while the red leather jacket is valued between 150.000 and 300.000 pounds.

A 1967 demo featuring four songs by Jimi Hendrix, appearing for the first time in several years, will also be auctioned. The demo, consisting of tracks that buyers will hear for the first time, is expected to fetch between 15.000 and 30.000 pounds.

According to Hochman, items belonging to the band Oasis, which recently announced their reunion after a 15-year hiatus and will go on tour next year, are among the most popular items, especially online.

The auction will feature Wonderwall lyrics written by band co-founder Noel Gallagher, along with guitars belonging to Gallagher, Federalna writes.
