While he flew our country on his way to Azerbaijan, Pope Francis took the opportunity to greet the people of BiH and Bakir Izetbegovic, Chairman of the Presidency of BiH.

“To his Excellency, Bakir Izetbegovic, while flying over BiH on my way to Georgia and Azerbaijan, I am sending best regards to you and the people of BiH. I am sending you the blessings of the Lord while remembering my visit to your country,” said the Pope after the controller of airplane Al Italia, which departed from Rome, contacted flight control at BH airport this morning at 10:10 am.

Controller who received the Pope’s message thanked him and wished a happy and successful flight.

To recall, Pope Francis visited Sarajevo last year.

The Pope yesterday went to the three-day apostolic visit to Georgia and Azerbaijan where he will meet with President of Georgia, government representatives and the diplomatic corps.
