Pope Francis radiosarajevo.baThe motto ‘Peace to You’ will follow the visit of Pope Francis to Bosnia and Herzegovina scheduled for June 6th, with a stylized sign that unites the cross, the white dove as a symbol of peace, and a triangle which represents the borders of BiH, was announced on Thursday in Sarajevo by Archbishop Cardinal Vinko Puljic.

‘Pope Francis himself gave the impetus to the motto while announcing that he is coming to Sarajevo to encourage the process of establishing peace’, said Cardinal Puljić.

He reminded that the words ‘Peace to you’ were the first ones that the Risen Christ addressed to his disciples.

The logo connects the environment and the logo, and therefore it was designed to embed B&H as a country, and yellow, red, and blue colors. The white dove with olive branch is a symbol of universal desire for peace.

The creators of the logo and the motto are Miroslav Šetka, the professor of art at the Catholic School Center in Zenica, and Dragan Ivanković, graphic and visual designer, also from Zenica.
