On the repertoire of the Cinema Meeting Point in Sarajevo, a feature film entitled ”Tabu” by a Portuguese director Miguel Gomes will be screened from the 20th till 22nd December. The audience in Sarajevo had the opportunity to watch this film during the 18th Sarajevo Film Festival Program ” Kinoscope”.

This is the third feature film by the award winning Portuguese director Miguel Gomes. For him, it is unthinkable to direct and shoot a film without referencing film history. Due to that, this film is not an exception, since it carries the name ”Tabu”, a film directed by Frederich Wilhelm Murnau.

In this film, Gomes interprets and reorganizes events in a very entertaining way. While the first part of the film is shot in black and white technique and presents society drowning in nostalgia, the other half presents everything that people yearn for though a very emotional melodrama, a slapstick comedy, parallel display of scenes and passion.

The film ” Tabu” is the winner of the FIPRESCI award and the Alfred Bauer award at the 62nd Berlinale Award Show. The roles in the film ” Tabu” are played by Teresa Madruga, Laura Soveral, Ana Moreira, Henrique Espírito Santo, Carloto Cotta, Isabel Cardoso, Ivo Müller and Manuel Mesquita. The film will be screened on all scheduled dates at 20:00 p.m.
