Potentials of Vareš municipality attracted Austrian investors

Vareš_0311On the initiative of Head of Vareš municipality Avdija Kovačević, a meeting was held on Wednesday  of representatives of Vareš municipality, and mining companies and Austrian companies, members of Rail Cargo Austria Group, with the aim of acquainting them with the condition and possibilities of cooperation and investment of Austrian companies in Vareš.

Head of Vareš Municipality, deputy head of Service for Finances and Economy Zihnija Krnjić and expert associates Senad Mahmutović and Brano Šurkić attended the meeting.

Apart from them, member of the Board of Rail Cargo Austria Group Wolfgang Riedl, manager of ‘Ekspres’ company Croatia Damir Vuuć and manager of BiHTEAM Hamid Šivšić and member of the Board of BIHATEAM Ilijas Musić, representative of the MM Company Emir Sudžuka and manager of the company BBM Izudin Sirotanović participated at the meeting as well.

Šivšić said to radio ‘Bobovac’ that Austrians are interested in investing in the fields of transport, infrastructure and logistics, and have come to Vareš to get information about the achievements of Iron and Zink Mine.

Šivišić said that he’s pleased and optimistic after the meeting, and added that potentials of Vareš municipality are related to mines, wood and stone, and added that such projects will soon become a reality throughout Europe and that raw materials from Vareš will be exported.

Head of the municipality said that there are some administrative obstacles which will solved quickly, because there are interested companies which, through the Embassy of Austria and Chamber of Commerce of Austria asked for information on potentials of Vareš municipality so that they could come and invest in Vareš.

Damir Vukić noted that BiH is a big country of great opportunities, and after the network of highways is built, it will be the prettiest country to live in. He promised that he’ll spread the word about potentials that Vareš has and believes that someone will be interested in investing.
