east sideOn 20 April, citizens of Sarajevo will have the opportunity to see a premiere of the play directed by Aida Bukvić and written by Darko Lukić called ‘The East Side Story’ (Priča sa Istočne Strane).

The play was done in co-production of Sarajevo War Theatre (SARTR) and Bosnian National Theatre from Zenica, and it is a duo-drama starring Snežana Vidović and Sead Pandur.

This play talks about Selma and Denis, former school peers from Sarajevo, who accidentally meet in London in the tube, and then they start talking about the life of Bosnian refugees.

Vidović said that the advantage of co-production is the exchange of energy between actors and work with new colleagues, and added that the play talks about the effort of Bosnian refugees to become a part of the society.

The play premiered in Bosnian national theatre of Zenica on 4 April.

In Sarajevo, the play will be shown at 8 p.m.
