VH-Pismo-20-04-2014-2-2The premiere of the play “Još jedno pismo preko Crvenog krsta“ will take place tomorrow at SARTR at 20:00, directed by Elma Selman and Sanela Krsmanović. There will be an introduction to the play with a photo exhibition by Velija Hasanbegović called “I moja bijela traka..“.

The documentary-dance play “Još jedno pismo preko Crvenog krsta“ is based on the collected intimate letters that were sent during the 1990’s as part of the Red Cross. Authors Sanela Krsmanović and Elma Selman said that the play explores a wide range of emotions that these letters carried, and intimate scars and features, that this kind of phenomenon of war communication has left. ‘’The play speaks about two sisters who were 3 km apart during the war, but were not able to see one another because of all the circumstances. From the private and professional side, this play was a huge challenge and that is why I am particularly pleased that we have come to the moment when we will have a premiere’’, said Krsmanović, and she particularly thanked SARTR and MESS for the great trust.

‘’The process of creating the play was as intimate as the letters. The texts are very strong and it is difficult to read them, and I am especially pleased that the women whose stories we tell will be with us at the premiere on Thursday’’, said Selman. She added that the letters were the only form of communication between very close family members for a long time.
