From 22 to 24 May, Ljubljana will be the host of the 11th world championship of B&H diaspora in futsal. The organizer of the championship is the World Association of Diaspora of B&H, sponsor is the B&H Football Association and the host is the B&H and Slovenian Friendship Society Ljiljan from Ljubljana.
The President of the Organizational Committee Elvis Alukić said for BHDInfo Desk that the preparations are being carried out according to the planned schedule.
‘’We formed an organizational committee, held several meetings and we expect that this year’s will be one of the biggest sports events of the B&H diaspora. At this moment, the sports hall ‘Kodoljevo’ is reserved for the championships and entertainment part of the program. A room for reception and the draw is provided, which will be held the night before the beginning of the championship. Accommodation is ensured for teams from the USA and Canada, and for other visiting teams the hosts will provide accommodation at favorable prices. The Organizational Committee Ljiljan Society confirmed free admission for all championship games at the last meeting, which would contribute to more visits to the championship’’, said Alukić.
He added that a poster and logo of the event has been made, made up of a football and a dragon, ‘’which shows power, courage and size’’.
