During the last period has been working in arranging the soup kitchen in Bugojno, after the decision of the Municipal Council in Bugojno that the work of soup kitchen in this city should be controlled by the Center for Social Work. This kitchen has been operating within MDD “Merhamet” until 2012.
“We have successfully completed all the necessary preparations for the opening of soup kitchen, which we have adapted for this purpose. In the final stage is the provision of other resources necessary for its operation. On this occasion, I want to thank Bugojno Red Cross, which has actively been involved in these activities”, said the director of the Center for Social Work Adnan Bašić.
The latest floods in the country, he added, greatly affected the dynamics of the re-opening of soup kitchen.
“Funds that were planned for this purpose, we have redirected to support flooded areas in B&H. But I think that very soon, we will be able to send to public the good news about the re-start of work in the kitchen where, prior to closing, were preparing daily meals for more than two hundred people” he stressed.
