jahorina 1At this year’s ‘Prepare’ gathering, 100 participants from 20 European countries will meet from 4-7 September on Jahorina in order to contribute to networking for sustainable development.

The activities of Prepare network, which was created in 1999, are aimed at strengthening civil society and international exchanges of experience in the area of rural development.

The Prepare gathering in 2013 is a series of related events in B&H, whose goal is to gather representatives of civil society, as well as representatives of organizations from the public sector, primarily from Central and Southeast Europe, as well as EU member states.

The main objectives are to enable rural civil society an opportunity to discuss methods and express views on the current challenges in rural development of Europe and beyond.

Also, participants will seek to encourage exchanges between rural actors from Central and Eastern European countries that are already EU member states and countries that are preparing to join the EU, especially in the region of Southeast Europe.

One of the objectives is to promote dialogue between the public, private and nonprofit sector and encourage networking for sustainable rural development.

Prepare gathering is organized thanks to the support of Charles Steward MOTT Foundation, project ACoRD (Association for Joint Rural Development) that is financed by the EU Delegation to B&H, GiZ and other donors.

Partners of Prepare network involved in organizing this gathering in B&H are: Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development-ACED from Banja Luka, Redah from Mostar, Association of Citizens Nešto Više from Sarajevo and Lag Una-Sana from Sanski Most, announced the Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development-ACED.
