Presentation of Ombudsman Report “The Role of Centers for Social Work in Protection of the Rights of the Child”

save_the_childrenTomorrow, on the premises of the B&H Ombdusman office in Mostar, the results of research into the state of social services in terms of protecting the rights of the child will be presented at 10:00.

B&H Ombdusman said that the research was conducted in 2013 in cooperation with the international organization Save the Children.

The special report on the role of centers for social work in the protection of the rights of the childn will be presented bz the assistant Ombdusman and head of the department for protection of the rights of children to the Ombudsman B&H institution Aleksandra Marin-Diklić.

The presentation will be attended by representatives of the organization Save the Children, as well as representatives of the Center for Social Work Mostar.

Ombudsmen evaluated that it is necessary to draft such an analysis, in order to obtain data and information, due to the fact that for years they have been advocating strengthening the capacity of centers for social work.

Starting from this knowledge, experience and established violations and threats, ombudsmen indicate the plight of centers for social work and the need to draw more attention to them, relevance and financial resources, as well as to the field of social protection in general, said in a statement.
