Presidency of BiH holds Regular Session

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at yesterday’s regular session in Sarajevo, adopted the Decision on the initiation of the procedure for conducting negotiations for the conclusion of the Treaty between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia on border crossings.

On this occasion, the draft strategy for the legal protection of the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina in connection with the disposal of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel at the location of Trgovska Gora was also supported, the BiH Presidency announced.

The Presidency also made decisions on the acceptance of agreements and the designation of signatories for several international agreements: Loan Agreement (Health Systems Improvement Project) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development; Loan Agreement (Agricultural Resilience and Competitiveness Project) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on the Implementation of Infrastructure Projects between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of Montenegro.

The Presidency also made decisions on the ratification of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers and the Government of Australia on the employment of family members of diplomatic and consular staff; Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic on social insurance; Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on border traffic; Administrative agreement for the implementation of the Social Security Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic, as well as the Loan Agreement (Zeleni gradovi 2 – Window II, Vodovod Brcko) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

At the session, a Decision was made on initiating the procedure for conducting negotiations for the conclusion of an Agreement between the European Union, on the one hand, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the other hand, on the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Union Mechanism for Civil Protection.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina also adopted a Decision on amending the Decision on the appointment of the Commission for Refugees and Displaced Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as a Decision on the adoption of a legally non-binding definition of anti-Semitism defined by IHRA – the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, according to the statement.
