The number of infected people in the Sarajevo Canton has been on a declining trend for some time, which is why local authorities have decided to relax the restrictive measures.

In addition, the data from the Clinical Centre University Sarajevo (KCUS) and from the General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakas” are encouraging.

Currently, a total of 323 people are hospitalized in Sarajevo Canton. There are 220 patients at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 103 patients at the General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakas”.

This is a significant decrease compared to last month when the number of patients in hospital treatment reached as many as 700.

There are nine patients using respirator this morning, seven at KCUS and two at the General Hospital.

At the same time, 40 patients use oxygen support for breathing above 15 liters per minute at the KCUS, and 13 at the General Hospital.

In the past 24 hours, 18 people were discharged from hospitalization. A total of 1,276 cases are currently active in Sarajevo Canton, and 4,967 people are in self-isolation.

In the last 24 hours, 64 newly infected with coronavirus from 684 tested samples were recorded in the Sarajevo Canton, and six people died, according to the Institute of Public Health of the Sarajevo Canton.
