Kolinda Grabar KitarovicOn Wednesday evening, the President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, arrived in a private visit to Medjugorje, a famous pilgrimage site, where she visited Podbrdo, a place for which is believed that the Virgin Mary appeared.

On Thursday morning, president Grabar-Kitarovic met with the local Franciscans who run the parish in the Parish Office in Medjugorje.

After that, she headed to Podbrdo at Medjugorje with a group of friends. Podbrdo is a place where six children, supposedly, saw Virgin Mary back in 1981. Some of them still claim to have apparitions.

Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic will stay in the visit to Medjugorje for three days, and it was unofficially announced that she will visit the Franciscan monastery in Mostar as well.
