The Tourist Board of Canton Sarajevo (CS) in cooperation with KJP ZOI`84, Olympic Center Bjelasnica and Igman, and the City of Sarajevo celebrate the 38th anniversary of the Sarajevo Winter Olympic Games with unique content, and the aim is to revive the Olympic spirit, remind older generations of 1984, and introduce this historic date for the city but also the state to the youth.

The celebration begins tomorrow

Namely, the celebration will start tomorrow, with a walk with Vucko, who will hang out and take photos with passers-by in Sarajevo, and give gifts. In the coming days, Vucko will visit the Sarajevo International Airport and welcome tourists and will be a regular guest of the Olympic mountains Bjelasnica, Igman, and Trebevic. On Bjelasnica, during the anniversary celebrations, Vucko’s discount will be provided on ski passes from 30% to 50% at a fixed price. A prize game is also planned within the Student Trips (Studentski pohodi), which are planned for February 12th, and students who make the best snow Vucko will be awarded.

In order to bring the Olympic symbols and marks as close as possible to tourists and citizens, they will have the opportunity to visit some of the Olympic venues for free.

Also, a free ride on the Sarajevo cable car will be organized, as part of a tourist tour to Trebevic, which will be organized by the Meet Bosnia agency on February 14th, with an extremely clear and high-quality guide on the importance and function of the Olympic bobsled and sledding track.

Free entrance to the Olympic Museum

On February 18th, 2022, the Sarajevo Olympic Museum offers all visitors free all-day admission, which is an ideal opportunity to get acquainted with the legacy of Olympic values and the Olympic spirit.

All tourists and citizens are invited to be part of the celebration of the Sarajevo Winter Olympic Games and enjoy the facilities offered, with the hope that we will once again feel the Olympic spirit in the capital of BiH, which received support for a joint appearance with Barcelona at the 2030 Olympics. As a reminder, the candidates to host the 2030 Winter Olympics are Vancouver (Canada), Sapporo (Japan), Salt Lake City (United States), and Barcelona-Pyrenees (Spain, Andorra, France).
