The President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lidija Bradara, today made a decision on the appointment of the Government of the Federation of BiH, and the decision will be delivered to the Vice Presidents for confirmation in the morning, the Office of the FBiH President confirmed for FENA.
After the president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina makes a decision on the appointment of the Government, the two vice presidents must give their consent and then it will be sent to the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH for adoption.
Based on the agreement on the government formation between the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) of BiH and the other parties of the new parliamentary majority gathered around SDP, People and Justice (NiP) and Our Party, the candidate for prime minister of the Federation of BiH is the president of the Social Democratic Party of BiH, Nermin Nikšić.
According to that decision, Toni Kraljević (HDZ) was proposed for the Minister of Finance, Vojin Mijatović (SDP) for the Minister of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, Almin Hopovac (SDP) for the Minister of the Interior, Vedran Škobić (HDZ) for the Minister of Justice, while Adis Bubalo (Party for BiH) was proposed for the Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry.
Sanja Vlaisavljević (HDZ) was nominated for the Minister of Culture and Sports, Andrijana Katić (HDZ) for the Minister of Transport and Communications, Nerin Dizdar (SDP) for the Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees, and Hasan Handžić for the Minister for the Issues of Veterans and Disabled Veterans of the Defensive-Liberation War (Party for BiH), and Milenko Bevanda (HDZ) for the Minister of Health.
The Minister of Education and Science should be Vedran Lakić (SDP), Minister of Trade Anel Kljako (People’s European Alliance – NES), Minister of Labor and Social Policy Adnan Delić (NiP), Minister of Environment and Tourism Nasiha Pozder (Our Party), Minister of Spatial Planning Željko Nedić (HDZ) and Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Zuhad Porčić (NES).
The deadline for the formation of the new Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is April 6, and the coalition partners hope that the session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament at which the Government would be appointed could be held by April 6.
