The President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jovan Kalaba, met today with the High Representative of the International Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, with whom he discussed the activities currently being carried out by the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the preparation and conduct of the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska scheduled for 23.11.2025.

Kalaba expressed concern that the Council of Ministers of BiH did not approve the Proposal of the Rulebook on the Internal Organization of the Central Election Commission of BiH because, as stated by the CEC, the lack of human resources in the Secretariat of the Central Election Commission of BiH has long been a major problem in the implementation of activities within the jurisdiction of the Central Election Commission of BiH.

Kalaba also informed Schmidt about the activities that the Central Election Commission of BiH is carrying out in the implementation of a multi-year project to introduce specific technologies into the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to a statement from the Central Election Commission of BiH.
