Dzemal Smajic (Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)), delegate of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH (PABiH), commented on the election of Zoran Tegeltija as director of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of BiH.
Smajic wonders, if the rotation system is respected now, when will the same be applied to the function of the Minister of Finance of BiH?
“The new director of the ITA BiH is Zoran Tegeltija from SNSD. He came to this position from the position of Minister of Finance in the Council of Ministers, which turns out to be a more important position than the position of Minister of Finance. They say he was elected on the principle of ethnic rotation. If he also rotates, like his predecessor Miro Dzakula from the HDZ, several times, until retirement, Bosniaks will still have to wait, even though they pay by far the most money into the common fund,” he said.
Furthermore, Smajic then asked why rotations are not respected when it comes to the Minister of Finance at the state level.
“This is not a question for those I mentioned, but for those who claim to belong to the pro-Bosnian forces,” he declared.
It should be recalled that Tegeltija resigned as the Minister of Finance of BiH in order to take over the position of Director of the ITA. New staff from SNSD will replace him. According to the information, the candidates are Ljubisa Cosic, Dalibor Tomas, and Srdjan Amidzic.
